Multi-Channel Technical Support is Always Available

At MacLellan Rubber we have always believed that if we sell a product, we should be able to support it technically, and that support should be free to customers without obligation.  Over the years we have tried to improve access to technical information for the more common queries we receive including

• Chemical Resistance through our ‘Media Compatibility’ link on our website

• Explanation of common Technical Terms and Definitions through ‘Ask George’

• Material technical parameters via downloadable data sheets

• Application data through our case studies

• Comparative common data through our resources downloads

But there are some elements of Technical Support that are difficult to put into writing and are learned through experience, product development and often good old-fashioned trial and error.

The world is changing more rapidly than ever, and as chemical medias become more complex, applications more demanding, REACH and RoHS legislation and Environmental controls more restrictive, materials that worked in the past can rapidly loose efficacy and have to be redesigned.

Base polymers may remain the same – Natural, Chloroprene, Butadiene, Ethylene Propylene, Fluoropolymer etc – but these may need to be blended with new compliant fillers, plasticisers or processing aids to meet the legislation, or enhance performance.       

With this in mind, MacLellan partners with some of the biggest and best material compounders on the globe to ensure access to the latest research and unparalleled laboratory test facilities. 

We work with these companies to develop new material formulations to meet new application needs and to ensure where we need to modify formulations to meet the increasingly stringent legislation, those materials meet ours and our customers technical requirements.
