In line with MacLellan Rubbers Quality assurance continual assessment and improvement programme Steve Jackson our QA Manager has project managed a number of changes to our Goods In inspection processes.
The main most significant change is the purchase of additional
Durometers (shore A Gauges) which will both speed up the checking process and allow for mobile testing within the warehouse in addition to current checking procedures. These improvements plus spot checking at the point of despatch will help us work towards our continual improvement target of 50% reduction in overall quality supply rejections per annum.
To ensure the accuracy of all measuring equipment, Steve has also implemented a monthly calibration inspection in line with
ISO 9001:2008 which is the procedure approved by UKAS.
All of which has been done plus other additional measures in preparation for our forthcoming Management system certification assessment carried out by TUV in April.
