Navigating the Challenges ahead:
Ensuring Supply due to the impact of Military action in the Red Sea and Suez Canal Disruption.
Uncertainty in the Middle East caused by the risk of escalating military action in the Red Sea has resulted in shipping
companies re-routing vessels around the Cape of Good Hope. As a consequence. we have seen shipping costs more than double in recent weeks, with transit time increasing by as much as four weeks.
With Covid-19 and the Evergreen problems with the Suez Canal still fresh in our minds the MacLellan Team have sustained significantly increased stock holdings of raw materials to ensure we can absorb these type of shocks within the supply chain and continue to meet customer demands.
In addition we continue to work with our European supply partners to rapidly supply high quality specialist and premium materials such as Chemours Viton A, Silicone, Bridge Bearing materials.
We believe that our commitment to maintaining robust stock levels and a strong supply chain will result in minimal impact for material availability, although we would always urge customers to place your orders in plenty of time.
If your existing supplier is struggling to meet your requirements or letting you down on lead times, give us a call and we would be pleased to discuss what we can do to keep your production running during these turbulent times.
Assuring all of our stakeholders
of our commitment to support you in all of your requirements, we look forward
to talking with you in the coming days and weeks.
The MacLellan Team
