Lightweight Reinforcements

MacLellan Rubber has recently completed an order for our Milliken reinforced special nitrile compound sheet which is to be converted into seals and gaskets for use in turbine generators, which convert mechanical energy into electrical energy.


Rubber sheet reinforced with Milliken was specified by the customer, a major UK gasket cutter, due to the lighter weight but higher strength of the Milliken reinforcement product.

MacLellan's 0733 Nitrile (NBR) rubber sheet has a tensile strength of 15 MPA, tear resistance of 25 N/mm and shore hardness of 65 degrees. The highest recommended working temperature is 90C and lowest temperature is -20C.
