Following confirmation that MacLellan Rubber Limited, one of the UK's foremost suppliers of polymer sheeting and rubber products, is to continue as an authorised supplier to the Ministry of Defence (MoD), they recently received a large order of 1,000 lin metre flame resistant matting.


The matting meets the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) standard D178 for Rubber Insulation Matting and is Type II Class 1 up to 20,000 Volts, and resistant to combustion after removal of a direct flame. In addition, this product is designed to be self-extinguishing and emit low smoke.

The matting is to be used in marine environments and the order was supplied ex-stock and despatched in the UK within days of receipt of order.
