Finish

The surface texture of a finished article. Rubber sheeting will typically be Smooth (Plate) finish or Cloth (Fabric) finish. A cloth finish on solid rubber is achieved by vulcanising the material with a cloth liner. More defined surface finishes are achieved by vulcanising the material against a negative impression of the effect required.
