Valve Packing Sets

Valve Packing Sets are designed to resist extrusion from their housing under pressure and are often profiled to achieve higher pressure ratings and lower fugitive emissions levels especially in chemical applications. For low pressure applications involving steam, simple pre-cut sets of flexible graphite packing will often be used, however for higher pressures and more aggressive chemicals, combination valve packing sets involving PTFE or Carbon end rings, to act as wipers and anti-extrusion rings will be incorporated into the set .
